Helen Lang

My name is Helen Lang and I am a driving instructor at Dora’s. I live in Sheffield with my husband, 4 children, and a cat, a dog, a snake and 2 tortoises. I have been working as a driving instructor for a couple of years now and am also part of the South Yorkshire Learn-safe-drive-safe scheme. Before becoming a driving instructor I worked for 11 years for the National Childbirth Trust as a counsellor and antenatal teacher.

Before I had kids I spent 8 years in postdoctoral research in the Molecular Biology and Biotechnology department at Sheffield University. When I’m not working I love walking in the peaks, and in the past year I have started climbing at the Sheffield Climbing Works (although I’m really not very good at it).
